This Could Be You...

my school has opened up the option for me to enter the wonderful world of blogger.com, and here i am again!
after arriving on campus at the beginning of this school year

i spoke to Mr. Jenkin, my Pre-Calc teacher,

and he told me about the "Sharron Arts Center"

and about their art classes that happen throughout the school year and take place after school and in a nearby city.

it sounded pretty cool but being a dorm without access to a car or a license for that matter...how would i get there?
he then told me that he and his wife would do
everything that they could to get me there weekly
and i gladly accepted!
so here i am applying
for an after school program
at the Sharron Arts Center
in downtown Peterborough, NH.

only eight will be accepted out of the many that apply.
i guess i'm better safe than sorry and i’m going to give it a go!
...
just printed out the application

it has to be post marked by the 18th of August

i will be sending it in this Thursday.
knowing me it probably won’t leave the sea of dust under my bed for another two weeks.

well, wish me luck because here i go!
AAAAHHHHH!!
^^i just let out a little scream^^

Henry Models for Me

so, a few days ago i went to a Goodwill in NC with my two sisters and my younger brother. i found several nice skirts and an adorable pair of green, velvet flats.
on my way out, as i was escaping the temptation to buy more, i did just that. i found
an irresistible pair of bifocals
that had some simple frames the only problem was that the glass in them was so stinkin' thick that they wouldn't budge to come out. i bought them anyway. at home took a hammer to them and did the trick.

well, all that to say... i found a great pair of glasses! so i stuck them on my little brother; threw one of my shirts on him; and rolled up his jeans. he looked so fabulous we had a mini shoot.

the whole time he insisted that he looked like "such a dork" with his pant legs rolled up.

Picnic In The Park

this little chick needs no introduction. soon after the photo shoot with Dorthy i took her down to the park along with a picnic with entailed peanut butter sammys.

shame on me for introducing the child to fluffernutter. yup i can hear it now, the talk i'm going to have with her mother 3 days from now when Dorthy is begging at her mother's feet for more.

well, at least i finished it all off with a healthy belly-full of edamame. she likes her veggies... what a cool kid!

Dorthy

this is Dorthy, by far the most photogenic kiddo i has photographed in my minute photography career. its like she has done this so many times before.

after she put on her dress and before we began the shoot she grabbed her iPod and began to play her favorite tunes. first on the list was "Party in the USA" by none other than the vomit-emitting Miley Cyrus. anyway thats another subject for another day. next on this little DJ's playlist was Taylor Swift followed by Owl City and Selina Gomez.

Dorthy just danced and sang along. now, usually i don't enjoy the outcome of shot when people are speaking or, in this case, singing. however, this was a different matter, i ended up with some tolerable shot of a beautiful subject.

p.s. this girl can SING!!

Peanuts And Pop

her we are in the heat and humidity awaiting the starting of the game.
it was HOT!

Lindy was searching for her boyfriend, who was apparently there with his coach.
she found him

well, we all walked away with heavy hearts and hanging heads.
we lost.
but, at least the other team's line-up looked nice

this is my mother.
isn't she beautiful?
